International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions among sovereign states and non-state actors on the global stage. It encompasses a wide range of issues including diplomacy, conflict, trade, international organizations, human rights, and environmental concerns. The field examines how countries cooperate, compete, and manage their relationships, influenced by factors such as power dynamics, culture, history, and economics.

IR also involves theoretical frameworks to understand these interactions, including realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theories. Scholars in this field analyze foreign policy, international conflict, global governance, and transnational issues that affect multiple countries. Ultimately, International Relations seeks to explain and predict the behavior of international entities, facilitate international cooperation, and address global challenges through dialogue and negotiation.
